Equality, Diversity, and front-line staff

Improving working relationships and customer care

Reasons for attending this programme:
What does it mean for front-line staff to embed E&D within their job roles and responsibilities? What does embedding E&D within customer care mean in practice? Ofsted inspectors will expect all staff to understand their role and responsibility in implementing the requirements of equality legislation, including staff who are ‘on the front line’ – reception, student services, IAG, admissions, estates, security and technicians, for example.

What is this training about?
Generic equality and diversity training can cause support staff to ‘switch off’ if training is geared to teaching staff or if they do not see the links between the training session and their job role and responsibility.

This interactive session will explore what equality, diversity and inclusion means, and the practical implications of working with a diverse workforce and student body. It will help improve working relationships and equip front line staff with the knowledge, skills and understanding to deliver a high quality customer service for all.
